Job Summary

As a Bilingual Registered Nurse at UNM Hospitals, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and patient-centered environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients, working within the nursing process to ensure safe and effective care.
  • Lead by example, promoting a positive work environment and quality patient care.
  • Assume relief charge duties when designated, demonstrating clinical leadership and expertise.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement and document individualized care plans, incorporating age-specific considerations.
  • Participate in orientation and precepting new personnel, enhancing professional growth and development.

Requirements:

  • RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS certification
  • Nationally accredited nursing graduate
  • Bilingual English/Spanish

Working Conditions:

  • Heavy work environment, exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally
  • Exposure to chemicals and biohazardous materials, requiring personal protective equipment
