Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Bilingual Registered Nurse to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a Bilingual RN, you will provide direct nursing care to patients while promoting a positive work environment and quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe and effective direct care to patients, working within the nursing process and adhering to Hospitals and departmental policies.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement and document individualized care plans, incorporating age-specific considerations and discharge planning.
  • Participate in orientation and assume precepting and evaluation responsibilities of new personnel.
  • Assist with special tests and procedures, ensuring proper consent has been obtained.
  • Administer medication, including IV medication, via the Seven Rights, and document and communicate clinical findings.
Requirements
  • 1 year of directly related experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer certification within 30 days.
  • RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement.
Working Conditions

This position requires heavy work, exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people.

The working conditions include a significant hazard of chemicals and biohazardous materials requiring personal protective equipment.
