Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cath EP Lab team at HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and assisting with imaging procedures in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care for a specific patient population.
  • Develop and implement plans of care with realistic goals.
  • Obtain accurate and concise nursing assessments.
  • Identify patient problems, symptoms, and psychosocial needs.
  • Utilize clinical experience and knowledge to anticipate potential patient care problems and/or emergencies.
  • Interpret diagnostic data and incorporate it into the plan of care.
  • Plan, implement, set priorities, and perform direct care or delegate responsibility and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members.
  • Make nursing revisions in the plan of care for specific patient populations based on observation, changing needs of the patient, and available data obtained by other members of the healthcare team, patient, and significant other.
  • Work with patients, significant others, and appropriate members of the healthcare team and/or community agencies to plan for discharge.
  • Perform procedures basic to the general well-being of the patient.
  • Know responsibility for own communications and communicate through appropriate channels.
  • Record informative, accurate, and concise nursing observations and reports observations to appropriate persons.
  • Receive physician's orders either written or per telephone, record, and carry out as ordered.
  • Keep immediate manager or designee informed of patient care problems.
  • Interact and communicate appropriately and effectively with other departments and coordinate patient schedules based on the needs of the individual patient.
  • Anticipate and communicate the need for patient teaching to physicians and receiving units.
  • Interact and communicate appropriately and effectively with healthcare teams to keep them informed of changes in patient plans of care.
  • Deliver organized, pertinent reports in a timely manner.
  • Assume responsibility for discussing, clarifying, and/or questioning medical therapy through effective communication.
  • Teach patients and/or significant others about disease processes and treatment plans.
Requirements
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse licensure.
  • Bachelor's degree or Associate degree must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • 12 months of acute inpatient experience required.
