Work Schedule:
Full-time, Evening shifts
Typical Hours:
Primarily 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, with some shifts from 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM, including rotating weekends.

Role Overview:
The Clinical Staff Pharmacist plays a crucial role in supporting the mission of the department and the health system by preventing, identifying, and resolving medication-related issues to ensure patient safety, enhance satisfaction, optimize outcomes, and reduce costs. This position involves working in the main pharmacy as well as in patient care areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform all duties of a registered pharmacist, including accurate and timely medication dispensing.
  • Engage in clinical interactions with healthcare teams and patients.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians.

Value Added to the Team:
  • Interprets electronic health records accurately.
  • Maintains proficiency in Cerner processes.
  • Manages complete and accurate patient profiles.
  • Oversees medication dispensing operations.
  • Ensures the accuracy of all prepared medication products.
  • Supervises the compounding of oral and injectable products.
  • Prevents errors in drug selection, dosage, and expiration issues.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of one year of contemporary hospital pharmacy experience.
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy, Doctor of Pharmacy, or equivalent advanced pharmacy degree.
  • Valid state pharmacy license.
