Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately interpret, profile, and fill physicians' orders
  • Ensure timely delivery of medications and maintain accurate records
  • Monitor drug therapy for duplicates, contraindications, interactions, incompatibilities, allergies, and dosing errors
  • Document interventions as needed and review and monitor drug therapy that requires dosage adjustment
  • Aseptically prepare intravenous fluids, irrigation solutions, additives, chemotherapy, and other sterile products
  • Maintain inventory of pharmaceuticals and supplies and ensure proper storage conditions
  • Participate in stock control programs and obtain emergency drug items or out-of-stock items as needed
  • Provide training and education to staff pharmacists, interns, and students regarding pharmaceutical care, pharmacoeconomics, clinical pathways, and clinical guidelines
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Pharmacy program required
  • PharmD with a completed residency in pharmacy practice preferred
  • Less than 1-year Pharmacist experience
  • 2 years hospital clinical pharmacist experience preferred
  • Licensed Pharmacist in Florida
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required within specified timeframes
