Job Summary

This position is responsible for performing maintenance procedures at facilities and on facility equipment, specifically Blow Mold Machines, by working with maintenance manager and using expertise to quickly diagnose problems and prevent excessive down time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Training: Direct, train, and support other maintenance and production personnel to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Repair and maintain mechanical and hydraulic components of production machines and equipment, specifically Blow Mold Machines, such as metal fabricating machine tools, material handling systems, automated lubrication systems, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Equipment Inspection: Visually inspect and listen to Blow Mold machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.
  • Component Replacement: Dismantle Blow Mold machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas and replace worn or defective parts.
  • Quality Control: Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.
  • Collaboration with Engineers: Assist Mechanical Engineers to modify sketches or computer-generated designs of machine components such as hydraulic systems and drive mechanisms.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience: Two or more years of commercial or industrial maintenance-related experience and/or training.
  • Availability: Must be available to work with the demands of the department, which are subject to overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical Demands: Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds, frequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
