Job Summary

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will provide essential support and perform tasks under the supervision of Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and document assessment data and provide patient education
  • Assist with patient physicals and lab draws
  • Respond to patient questions appropriately and address patient concerns
  • Interact with and assist the public in a professional and friendly manner as needed
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills and maintain strict confidentiality when necessary
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Successful completion of PCT course within 3 months of hire
  • Patient care experience in an acute care setting
  • Experience with casting/splinting
