Job Description

At Ascendo Resources, we are seeking a highly skilled Client Service Associate to join our team. As a Client Service Associate, you will play a critical role in supporting our Financial Advisors by handling client account setup and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Account Setup and Maintenance: Handle clerical tasks for setting up client accounts and updating account features as chosen by clients.
  • Client Communication: Collaborate with Financial Advisors (FAs) and clients to collect necessary documents for different account types.
  • Record Keeping: Help maintain complete records of client accounts and trades for FAs and required branch office files.
  • Client Requests: Manage client requests for operational or administrative needs, like check requests, wire transfers, address updates, and setting up online account access.
  • Account Information: Provide account information to clients on request.
  • Reporting: Identify and report to FAs or the Branch Manager any unusual client or employee activities or behaviors.
Requirements
  • Familiarity with Office Procedures: Familiarity with office procedures and systems, including word processing and spreadsheet software, file management, and understanding office terminology.
  • Task Management: Capability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines, complete goals, manage expectations effectively, and use company resources efficiently.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to apply logical thinking to evaluate alternatives, identify solutions and weaknesses, and approach problems practically.
  • Customer Service: Understanding of how to provide outstanding customer service, encompassing customer needs assessment, adhering to quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
  • Communication: Skilled in conveying information clearly in both written and spoken forms, ensuring understanding, with strong grammar and professional communication etiquette.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in Portuguese and English.
Education and Experience
  • Experience with W8-BEN Accounts: Experience with W8-BEN accounts, Account Documentation for International Clients (i.e.: Personal Holding Companies, Personal Investment Companies, Trusts, Offshore Companies, etc).
  • Education: High School Diploma or 2 year Associate degree (preferred).
  • Experience: At least 2 years of clerical or relevant industry experience (Banking or Wealth Management).
  • Technical Skills: Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
