Role Overview
As a Vascular Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing both non-invasive and invasive vascular procedures, including but not limited to carotid, venous, renal, and arterial Doppler studies. You will collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient diagnostic processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive vascular imaging procedures while adhering to hospital policies and protocols.
- Utilize effective communication skills to interact with physicians, patients, and healthcare team members.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding patient information and activities.
- Ensure proper functioning of imaging equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.
- Stay informed about compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Completion of an accredited ultrasound technology program or relevant work experience.
- Registered Sonographer (RDMS) certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or CCI registry in Vascular Ultrasound (RVS).
- Preferred: One year of experience in performing adult vascular examinations.
- Registered Technologist certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Sonography.
