About the Vascular Technologist Role
We are seeking a skilled Vascular Technologist to join our team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center. As a Vascular Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our medical imaging department.
Responsibilities of the Vascular Technologist
- Perform vascular scans of optimal diagnostic quality on patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric.
- Identify upper/lower extremity venous anatomy and perform upper/lower extremity Venous Duplex protocol for DVT or Venous Insufficiency.
- Operate the Vascular Ultrasound units efficiently and effectively.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest medical imaging technologies and techniques.
Requirements for the Vascular Technologist
- Associate Degree in a patient-care related field or a program accredited by an agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), United States Department of Education (USDOE), or Canadian Medical Association (CMA).
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
