About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preconstruction Director to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving our construction projects forward and ensuring their success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preconstruction and Estimating: Develop and implement pricing strategies to support the company's overall goals, while ensuring costs are covered and projects are profitable.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate preparations of bids and GMPs with operations, ensuring proper operational input is provided and general conditions, logistics, and planning are properly executed.
  • Value Engineering and Enhancement: Identify and promote solutions to problems that might impede project progress or adversely affect client and architect relations.
  • Client Communication: Keep clients fully informed of preconstruction progress and any significant technical problems or solutions that may affect design and/or costs.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and perform constructability reviews of all projects, ensuring a smooth transition from preconstruction to operations.
  • Business Development: Participate in presentations with potential clients, assist in the review and approval of contracts, and finalize GMP prices with clients that meet their needs and provide maximum profitability.
Requirements
  • Education: B.S. degree in Construction Technology, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong background in preconstruction and estimating.
  • Skills: High level of communication skills, ability to lead meetings and presentations, and experience with technology such as estimating, scheduling, and project management.
  • Licenses and Registrations: Professional licenses and registrations a plus.
