Job Overview

Marcus Bar & Grille is a new restaurant in Atlanta seeking skilled Dishroom Attendants to join our team.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $40,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
  • To ensure all equipment and food are available to waiters at the appropriate time, wash and clean all cookware from kitchen production according to our standards.
  • Ensure the dish area is presented properly; set up, cleaning, chemicals, and temperature settings of the dish machine.
  • Clean pots, pans, and other utensils thoroughly, with all cookware and utensils completely cleaned and sanitized.
  • Keep the kitchen floor clean and wash area free of food residue or debris.
  • Awareness of floor maintenance, equipment used, and good knowledge of chemical safety and usage.
  • Dumpster procedures and cardboard management.
  • Waste removal and safe lifting practices associated with waste removal.
  • Maintain kitchen sanitation according to health department guidelines.
  • Responsible use of facility supplies and equipment to minimize loss and waste.
  • Keep the work area neat and clean at all times; clean and maintain equipment used in food preparation.
  • Other back-of-house duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Previous back-of-house restaurant experience preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with prioritized responsibilities.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations while maintaining a calm demeanor.
  • Ability to produce high volumes of work while maintaining quality standards.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to work around various chemicals and respond to hazardous situations.
  • Must be able to lift/carry items up to 40 lbs. and push/pull items up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to walk/stand for extended periods, with frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching overhead.
