Job Title: Commissioning Technician

LG Energy Solution Vertech, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Technician to join our team. As a Commissioning Technician, you will be responsible for the commissioning of large-scale battery storage projects. Your primary responsibilities will include aligning the commissioning safety plan with all parties involved, performing the project commissioning procedure, updating and installing software and settings onto control equipment and switches, testing for communication and network connectivity, clearing faults/alarms, and diagnosing with vendors on troubleshooting steps.

Requirements:
  • Safety mindset: must have sound judgement and triage skills to make safe workplace decisions onsite in the field or bring to the appropriate decision makers for consultation.
  • Technical competency to troubleshoot and commission complex electrical systems.
  • Professional, proactive, adaptable individual with a strong results-oriented work ethic.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills that remain consistent in high intensity customer facing interactions in the field.
  • Ability to think and respond quickly to customer requests in the moment, with project and workplace safety always in mind.
  • A strong, collaborative, team player able to thrive within a matrix organization. Comfortable working with international stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task in fast-paced environment.
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors at project sites in variable weather conditions.
Education and Experience:
  • Minimum Associates' degree.
  • Experience having worked on battery projects or solar projects.
Travel Requirements:
  • Prefer if the technician is located near the Fresno/Bakersfield area.
  • Regular work schedule is an 8 hour shift 5 days on, 2 days off (M-F); during certain phases of commissioning there is potential for 10 hour days 5-6 days a week with a 2 weeks on, and 1 week off rotation cycle.
