As a Field Service Technician, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our products operate according to specified standards and fulfill customer requirements effectively. You will cultivate enduring customer relationships by delivering exceptional service and support, which is essential for maintaining service contracts and fostering continuous revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in a multidisciplinary engineering environment to service, troubleshoot, repair, and install MVG systems.
  • Collaborate with our global engineering teams at both subsystem and system levels to maintain and repair existing systems.
  • Take initiative and responsibility for the maintenance and installation of RF and mechanical subsystems.
  • Independently operate MVG systems to demonstrate their functionality and identify any malfunctions.
  • Prepare and present technical summaries promptly upon completion of work.
  • Provide troubleshooting support via phone or on-site, documenting customer interactions and finalizing repair plans as necessary.
  • Contribute hands-on to system installations, testing, data processing, and analysis.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Self-driven and accountable individual with a strong desire to take ownership of complex and innovative challenges.
  • Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, manuals, and other specifications to define procedures and scope of work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with low-voltage, heavy-duty electrical equipment.
  • Preferred: Degree in Electronics, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Capability to interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and perform equipment repairs during on-site visits.
  • Experience with calibrated mechanical or electrical measurement tools such as Digital Multimeters, Torque Wrenches, ESD Protection, Oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Familiarity with Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Power Meters, and Signal Sources, along with a general understanding of System Block Diagrams and signal flow.
  • Able to work in physically demanding environments and operate construction equipment.
  • Experience with metrology equipment, such as theodolites or laser trackers, is a plus.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting, evaluating, repairing, and servicing dynamic mechanical components.
  • Experience in electronic troubleshooting for both AC/DC, low voltage, and high voltage systems.
  • Detail-oriented in gathering data and reporting on job site activities and in-house efforts.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a valid driver's license.
