Position Overview

The Senior Safety Risk Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting both divisional and cross-divisional Safety Risk Management (SRM) initiatives. This position ensures that all components are comprehensively addressed and documented in alignment with the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) policy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead SRM Initiatives: Take charge of cross-divisional SRM activities as required.
  • System Development: Design, implement, and sustain a robust system to monitor SRM activities across the organization, ensuring quality and timely execution as a critical aspect of effective risk and change management.
  • Data Analysis: Gather, analyze, and present SMS data and trends to SMS leadership, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Dashboard Management: Collaborate with the Program Manager, SMS, and the Manager, Safety Assurance to create and maintain a Corporate SMS dashboard that reflects the health of the SMS.
  • Reporting Maintenance: Oversee the preparation and upkeep of reporting and presentation materials, including but not limited to MPR, SRT, and ISRT.
  • Training Support: Provide assistance and training related to RiskNet, enhancing team capabilities.
  • Safety Promotion: Manage Corporate SMS Safety Promotion media, ensuring that all information and links are current and accessible.
  • Manual Coordination: Work alongside the Program Manager, SMS to develop, implement, and maintain a system for coordinating and tracking revisions to the company’s SMS Manual and related SOPs.
  • Hazard Reporting Oversight: Support the Program Manager, SMS in overseeing the Hazard Reporting Program by processing reports, assigning investigations, and tracking data trends for Corporate SMS leadership.
  • SOP Creation: Draft and update SMS and ASAP SOPs as necessary.
  • Safety Practices: Uphold safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Proficient understanding of safety management principles and practices.
  • Exceptional analytical skills.
  • Prior experience in a safety-related field is essential.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in aviation management, aviation safety, or a related discipline.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of airline operations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create and deliver professional presentations to diverse audiences, including leadership.
  • Commitment to the company’s core values of honesty, integrity, respect, perseverance, and servant leadership.
  • Able to collaborate effectively across various business units.
  • Familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations, particularly 14 CFR 5 (SMS).
  • Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness in work assignments.
  • Capability to manage project execution, monitor information, and balance multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
