Senior Ambulatory Care Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Ambulatory Care Nurse who will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
This position requires a commitment to providing safe, compassionate, and competent care in alignment with NYU Langone Health's established standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct educational in-services for staff and instruct Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) classes.
- Serve as a resource for nursing staff, Medical Assistants, and students.
- Systematically collect and analyze patient healthcare data using appropriate assessment techniques.
- Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Implement and evaluate interventions to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families to promote healthy adjustments to health changes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain awareness of evidence-based practices.
- Coordinate nursing schedules and oversee clinical operations, ensuring compliance with standards.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A Baccalaureate degree in Nursing is preferred; a Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing with a minimum of one year of experience is acceptable.
- Current Registered Professional Nurse licensure in New York.
- BCLS and ACLS certifications.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- A minimum of three years of RN experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ACLS certification.
- Experience in emergency or critical care nursing.
- Membership in relevant professional organizations.
- Experience in OBGYN nursing is preferred.
