Job Title: Principal IT Business Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal IT Business Analyst to join our team at Cummins. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving business success through effective analysis, planning, and execution.

About the Role

The Principal IT Business Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Defining business success and collaborating with business leaders to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Leading cross-organizational coordination and project definition for initiatives spanning multiple organizations.
  • Guiding a team of analysts to elicit, analyze, and document functional requirements.
  • Managing requirements and leading activities related to requirements management.
  • Conducting change impact analysis and communicating the impact of changes to stakeholders.
  • Solution validation and assessment to ensure business needs are met.
  • Problem resolution and escalation for non-routine issues.
  • Mentorship and relationship building with business leaders and other functions.
Requirements

  • Solution design and creating solution designs that meet business and technical requirements.
  • Problem solving and using systematic analysis processes.
  • Valuing differences and recognizing the value of diverse perspectives.
Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in IT business analysis.
  • Significant experience with Oracle Applications R12 Financial modules.
  • Exposure to downstream modules, Order Management, and Inventory.
  • EDI experience preferred.
  • 4-6 years of project management experience using standard project planning tools.
  • Thorough understanding of Finance business processes in a global Finance environment.
  • Proficiency with SQL-based queries.
