Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Placon. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing breakdown, corrective, and preventive electrical, electronic, and mechanical maintenance on all production equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance: Perform electrical, electronic, and mechanical maintenance on all production and auxiliary equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  2. Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair production and auxiliary equipment to as-built condition, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.
  3. Quality and Compliance: Service equipment to ensure compliance to Quality System procedures and work instructions related to the maintenance function, ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  4. Preventive Maintenance: Monitor machine operation and assist in the development of preventive maintenance programs for new and rebuilt equipment to ensure uninterrupted and effective operation.
  5. Electrical Control Systems: Integrate electrical control systems for new and rebuilt machinery, facilities equipment, and machine/process improvements according to established guidelines.
  6. Facilities and Equipment Maintenance: Participate in the specification, building, rebuilding, installing, and fabrication of electrical and electronic control systems, as well as maintain facilities and equipment to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  7. Safety and Compliance: Comply with all safe work practices, including all company, local, state, and federal requirements, and ensure that all machinery and facilities services comply with applicable safety codes, such as OSHA, National Electric Code, and National Fire Protection Agency.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma and 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, or an Associate Degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Industrial Electronics, or a related field.
  • Strong computer knowledge, including the use of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, electronic test equipment, and read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and PLC Ladder logic programs.
  • Understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers, digital and analog servo systems, and knowledge of soldering, ARC welding, and MIG welding.
  • Ability to service electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.
  • Ability to drive motorized vehicles, including forklifts and elevated platforms, and a history of working safely, including safety training, LOTO, and PPE use.
Work Environment

This role will be based in a manufacturing environment, with occasional work outside. You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on safety and quality.
