Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation, repairs, and preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment, including machinery, machine tools, and lifting equipment.
  • Interpret and implement corrective actions from prints, drawings, and verbal instructions.
  • Recommend appropriate corrective action in accordance with referenced specifications, industry standards, and shop practices.
  • Perform mechanical construction work as required, including fabrication, welding, and brazing.
  • Install piping and conduit as needed.
  • Enter and maintain data as needed for operating maintenance work order and log systems.
  • Work with or under the direction of supervisors, engineers, and contractors as needed.
  • Provide technical direction and training for lower classifications as required.
  • Keep work areas in a clean and orderly condition and return tools to proper storage location at conclusion of job/shift operations.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Passing score on General Aptitude test.
  • A 2-year technical degree with an emphasis in industrial electrical or completed an Apprenticeship program.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience repairing electrical equipment and supporting mechanical maintenance.
  • Ability to acquire all PIME license by passing company test requirements.
  • Ability to acquire a crane license by passing company test requirements.
  • Ability to acquire LOTO certification.
  • Journeyman's card preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Within the qualifying period, the employee must demonstrate a satisfactory proficiency in maintenance and electrical repair.
  • Demonstrate skills in print reading and application.
  • Acquire a forklift, Crown Wave, and crane operator's license from the Safety Department.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office computer tools.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted on a regular basis.
  • Sit, stand, bend & kneel for 8 or more hours/day.
  • Available for overtime for up to 12 -hour days and on off days.
