TerraBella Thornblade is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Healthcare Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of clinical care and services for our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that our community adheres to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to clinical care.
- Occurrence Trend Analysis: Collect, analyze, and report on occurrence trends, and develop/implement improvement plans as necessary.
- Health and Safety Partnerships: Partner with the Administrator and other team members to maintain the health and safety of residents and team members.
- Pharmaceutical Services: Collaborate with our pharmacy consultant to provide optimal pharmaceutical services to residents.
- Clinical Expertise: Provide clinical expertise and guidance to licensed nurses.
- Resident Assessment and Service Planning: Identify ongoing needs and services of residents through the assessment/service plan process, including documentation for residents with a change in healthcare status.
- Service Plan Updates: Ensure that resident service plans are updated as required by state regulations.
- Communication and Scheduling: Maintain open communication with residents' families and/or responsible parties regarding changes in care or health concerns, and schedule clinical staff on a monthly basis.
- Supply Management: Ensure that adequate clinical supplies are available.
- On-Call Schedule: Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
- Licensure: Maintain current state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse, in good standing.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience and 2 years of geriatric experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in assisted living, home health, or long-term care, with competence in assessment skills, injections/medication administration, follow-up, and triage.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrate leadership skills by exhibiting confidence in self and others, inspiring and motivating others to perform well.
