Job Title: Vice President of Construction

Los Angeles Growth - Highgate Hotels is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Construction to lead our hotel development projects in the Hawaii market.

Job Summary:

The Vice President of Construction will be responsible for overseeing the project management and construction efforts of our hotels in Hawaii, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead project teams to deliver high-quality construction projects on time and within budget.
  • Oversee all aspects of project management, including scheduling, budgeting, pre-construction, construction, and communication.
  • Work closely with design teams, general contractors, and third-party consultants to ensure project success.
  • Achieve company objectives, including cost, schedule, and quality targets.
  • Provide direction, supervision, and performance management to project personnel.
  • Monitor and report on project financial performance and forecasts.
  • Standardize and refine construction contract documents and bid forms.
  • Ensure proper job site safety programs are administered.
  • Oversee architectural supervision of the construction process.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of relevant construction experience, with a focus on managing mid-size to large projects.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Proven track record of delivering on-time, on-budget performance for complex hotel renovation and new build construction projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet budgets and schedules.
  • Experience working with owners, general contractors, and construction management companies.
  • Ability to manage multiple and complex design and construction projects.
  • Familiarity with state and city building codes.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
