Job Summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Ambulatory Care team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient-centered care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient exams, procedures, and treatments
  • Prepare patients for exams and procedures
  • Take vital signs and perform basic medical screenings
  • Assist with medication administration and wound care
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 months of clerical experience and experience related to patient care
  • Active certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or equivalent
  • Experience with Epic In-Basket management

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently during the day
  • Ability to see in the normal visual range with or without correction
  • Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction
