Field Operations Tester

Position Overview:

The Production Testing Associate plays a crucial role in executing comprehensive back pressure assessments and well flowback activities. This position entails the setup and dismantling of various associated apparatus, performing standard field calculations, and ensuring the meticulous completion of job and field data documentation. Proficiency in basic computer operations is vital for data entry and the generation of field reports. A significant aspect of this role is the precise collection and reporting of well production flow rates in accordance with both internal and client standards.

Field Responsibilities:

  • Setting up portable separators and heaters
  • Managing chicksan bundles, hammer unions, flowline tie-down stakes, and creating threaded connections
  • Assembling flowback manifolds and sand separators, aligning and connecting threaded components, and securing threaded pipe joints
  • Executing routine choke adjustments, blowdowns, tank strappings, and pressure assessments as necessary

Workshop Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading field equipment, lifting and positioning items and fittings, cleaning equipment, maintaining the workshop, and preparing tools for subsequent tasks

Safety Protocols:

  • Must successfully complete a DOT physical and possess at least a Class B CDL with an H endorsement
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions, hazardous environments, and isolated locations
  • Must wear appropriate safety equipment and be capable of shutting valves and evacuating personnel during emergencies

Additional Information:

  • Reports directly to the District Manager
  • May include other responsibilities as assigned
