About the Role

Friedman Vartolo LLP, a rapidly growing New York-based law firm, is seeking an experienced Real Estate Transactional Attorney to join its team. As a key member of the firm's real estate department, you will be responsible for handling real estate transactions, including lender representation, from start to finish.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Real Estate Transactions: Coordinate and manage the entire transaction process, ensuring timely and efficient completion.
  • Represent Lenders: Prepare and review loan documents, coordinate closings, and prepare CDs/HUDs for commercial and residential lending transactions.
  • Review Corporate Formation Documents and Title Clearance: Conduct thorough reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage Paralegal Workload: Supervise and coordinate the work of paralegals to ensure efficient and effective transaction management.
  • Communicate with Clients: Provide regular updates on file statuses, recommendations, and other important matters.
  • Contribute to Department Growth: Assist in expanding the real estate department's capabilities and services.
Qualifications
  • 4+ Years of Experience: Independently handle and oversee real estate transactions, with a proven track record of success.
  • Lender Representation Experience: Proven ability to represent lenders in commercial and residential lending transactions.
  • Knowledge of Transactional and REO Closing Practices: In-depth understanding of applicable laws, documents, and regulations.
  • Transaction Volume: Capable of bringing in at least 1 real estate transaction per month.
  • Bar Admission: Admission to the New York State Bar is required; New Jersey Bar admission is preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience handling REO closings and private financing origination, as well as superior writing, research, and analytical skills.
