Position Summary:

Service excellence is at the core of our mission at Vail Resorts, and our Ski Patrol team plays a vital role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all. This position is responsible for safeguarding the well-being of both staff and guests on the mountain, requiring alertness and reliability, especially in emergency situations.

Position Specifications:

  • Expected Compensation: $23.26 per hour
  • Availability: Full-Time and Part-Time shifts
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Expert-level Alpine skiing proficiency is mandatory.
    • Current Colorado EMT certification or higher, with a focus on Emergency Medicine, is required.
    • Experience in Avalanche, Climbing, Rescue, or related fields is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure guest safety on the mountain.
  • Provide assistance to injured guests.
  • Maintain trails, including managing closures, safety signage, avalanche control, and addressing environmental impacts.
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Position Requirements:

  • Successfully complete the resort's Ski Patrol sponsored ski assessment.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • Exceptional guest service skills are required.
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions in a high-altitude environment.
  • Manual dexterity to operate necessary equipment.
  • Visual, auditory, and speech capabilities sufficient to learn skills and follow instructions.

The anticipated pay range for this role is $23.26 per hour. This reflects the compensation we expect to offer for this position, with individual pay decisions based on various factors.
