Job Summary

UCHealth seeks an experienced Nursing Unit Leader to oversee daily operations of a nursing unit at our Highlands Ranch Hospital. This role is crucial in ensuring alignment with departmental objectives and regulatory compliance.

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Registered Nurse with advanced leadership experience to manage staff relations, performance evaluations, scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating patient care services.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction
  • Manage staff relations, including performance management and conflict resolution
  • Oversee scheduling, recruitment, and payroll processes
  • Monitor departmental budgets and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Coordinate patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A registered nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Master's degree in nursing or a related field (preferred)
  • At least 3 years of progressive leadership experience in a healthcare setting
  • Certifications: BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer
