- Foresee, identify, and resolve system performance problems.
- Oversee disaster recovery and business continuity as it relates to technology.
- Confirm technology assets are secure and well-maintained in accordance with Marriott International policies and standards.
- Install, monitor, and maintain telecommunications equipment, including cabling and providing technical guidance as needed.
- Perform adds/moves/changes/deletions, confirm adequate bandwidth exists, and secure circuits.
- Support guests and end-users with pager, cellular phone, and high-speed Internet access issues.
- Escalate problems as appropriate through Area IT Manager, Americas IT, HQ IT departments.
- Image desktops, install new software applications, apply patches, map drives to correct servers/networks.
- Migrate data when necessary, perform routine to complex desktop backup as scheduled or directed.
- Provide end-user support to property staff and business center.
- Resolve issues with setup or reset of security passwords.
- Support email and use of MI network.
- Create and maintain secure server environment, perform server backups, and routine/non-routine preventative maintenance.
- Execute disaster recovery plans.
- High school diploma or GED; 2-4 years experience in Information Technology or related professional area.
- OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related major; 2 years experience or related professional area.
- Previous experience supporting highly complex units (e.g., resorts, enhanced GPNS systems, high number of network devices, etc.).
- System-related professional certifications desired.
