Position Overview:
As a Registered EEG Monitoring Specialist, you will be integral to our patient care team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting long-term monitoring of both adult and pediatric patients utilizing advanced audio/visual equipment and electrophysiological recording tools.
  • Presenting comprehensive patient histories, EEG and video data, along with radiologic studies during daily rounds with our medical staff.
  • Documenting seizure activity, medication regimens, and previous diagnostic outcomes.
  • Mapping and classifying EEG data to provide detailed reports on ictal and interictal patterns.
  • Training new staff in the protocols for long-term monitoring and patient care.

Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • A minimum of two years of relevant technical experience in epilepsy monitoring or routine EEG labs.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Education and Certification:
Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED, along with certification as a Registered EEG Technologist (R.EEG.T) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Physical Requirements:
This role requires manual dexterity for precise electrode placement and the ability to assist in patient mobility, including lifting and transporting patients as necessary.
