Overview:
As a Registered Nurse in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at Cleveland Clinic, you will engage in a comprehensive residency program designed to enhance your nursing skills, whether you are a recent graduate or transitioning from another specialty.

Support and Development:
Throughout your residency, you will collaborate with our dedicated Success Coach team, comprised of nursing professional development specialists, who will be available to assist you in your growth as a caregiver. This support will be accessible in person, virtually, and via email.

Unit Focus:
Our Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) is renowned for providing specialized care to adults with suspected or confirmed seizure disorders. As a part of this team, you will benefit from a well-rounded training program alongside experienced nurses eager to mentor you.

Responsibilities:
As a Registered Nurse, you will:

  • Deliver direct nursing care following established protocols.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans.
  • Document and communicate patient conditions effectively.
  • Evaluate and adjust care plans to meet expected outcomes.
  • Coordinate care among various healthcare disciplines.
  • Administer medications and treatments as per nursing protocols.
  • Assess educational needs of patients and provide appropriate teaching materials.
  • Maintain professional development through ongoing education.

Qualifications:
To qualify for this role, you must:

  • Be a graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • Hold a current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Provide proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
