We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Registered Nurse to join our BMT Clinic team at US Oncology Network-wide Career Opportunities.
Job Summary:The Senior Registered Nurse will provide professional nursing care to patients undergoing bone marrow transplantation, hematologic malignancies, and other related conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oncology nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Assess health status by interviewing patients regarding current status and medical history.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Provide education and support to patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of RN experience in oncology nursing, with a strong background in BMT care.
- Current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
