Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Oncology to join our team at Medical City Dallas. This role is responsible for ensuring and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
  • Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
  • Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
  • Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
  • Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree (BSN) from a professional nursing program.
  • Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS provider.
  • ACLS required within one year of hire or transfer.
  • PALS preferred.
  • ONS Chemotherapy biotherapy certificate course required.
  • Must be Chemo Certified.
  • At least two years of RN experience in ICU or BMT/Hematology.
