Job Title: Clinical Registered Nurse Sr (RN)Job Summary:

The Clinical Registered Nurse Sr (RN) will provide professional nursing care for patients adhering to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oncology nursing and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote the continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
  • Assess health status by interviewing patients regarding current status and medical history.
  • Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material.
  • Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
  • Facilitate clinical operations and patient care.
  • Manage patient medication refill requests from the pharmacy telephone line and record the information in the patient chart.
  • Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre-testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals, and future appointments for patients.
  • Triage patient phone calls as needed and document relevant information in the patient's chart.
  • As necessary, facilitate communication between patient/family and interdisciplinary team and coordinate services related to patient care.
  • Assist patients in locating available community resources.
  • Inter professional collaboration.
  • Act as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.
  • RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Five years nursing experience.
