Facilities Maintenance - Custodial Specialist

At Concordia College, we are looking for a committed Facilities Maintenance - Custodial Specialist to enhance our team. If you take pride in ensuring cleanliness and maintaining a secure environment, this role may be ideal for you.

Job Overview:

  • Perform a comprehensive range of cleaning tasks, including but not limited to: sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, waxing, stripping, and polishing floors; vacuuming and shampooing carpets.
  • Sanitize restroom facilities and associated fixtures, including drinking fountains, sinks, urinals, and toilets; restock supplies in restrooms.
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and walls.
  • Empty, clean, and disinfect waste receptacles.
  • Replace light bulbs as necessary.
  • Identify and report maintenance requirements in designated buildings and facilities.
  • Conduct snow and ice removal using appropriate methods.
  • Assist with additional projects as required.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Capability to lift, pull, push, climb, bend, and stand for prolonged periods.
  • Must be self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and interpreting written and verbal instructions, demonstrating the ability to work with minimal oversight.
