About This RoleWe're looking for a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead our Data Experiences and Automation team in Riot's Central Data group. As an experienced professional, you'll be responsible for overseeing the development of scalable data workflows for data producers and customers. You will ensure our internal customers have a seamless experience integrating with and building on our data platform.
Responsibilities- Manage teams of 6-10 software and systems engineers ranging from associate-level to staff-level, guiding them towards delivering high-quality solutions.
- Serve as a mentor to software engineers, helping them build career paths tailored to their goals and aspirations.
- Design team compositions to ensure they possess the necessary skills and expertise for achieving our objectives.
- Evaluate and implement design, code, and release processes for products and solutions developed by your team.
- Balance short-term and long-term needs to guarantee stable, operational, and extensible services.
- No less than 5 years of experience as an Engineering Manager or Director of Engineering working on teams shipping business-facing software.
- A minimum of 6 years of professional experience as a software engineer, coupled with expertise in continuous development and deployments of large-scale systems.
- Proven project management skills, including prioritization frameworks and guiding investment strategies in people and systems.
- A competitive base salary range between $183,300.00 - $256,600.00 USD + incentive compensation + equity + 401K with company match + medical, dental, vision, and life insurance + short and long-term disability + open PTO.
