Responsibilities
As a member of our team, you will work closely with data engineers, machine learning engineers, scientists, and business analysts to build scalable access patterns for our knowledge graph. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and building intuitive user interfaces backed by data in offline systems and APIs
- Evaluating new technologies and approaches to streamline and improve our rapid application development tooling and conventions
- Regularly learning new systems and tools as the Netflix platform and ecosystem evolve
- Understanding business requirements and providing tools that empower teams to innovate on top of the Netflix KG
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Experience in both backend and frontend development, with expertise in owning and maintaining backend services
- Proficiency in designing, building, and operating API layers that support various front-end user experiences
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members and partners on projects that drive high-impact outcomes
- Conceptually familiar or interested in learning graph technologies (e.g. databases, data models, query languages)
- Ability to learn new business domains, demonstrate excellence, and grow your career
