Job Summary

CHS Inc. is a leading global agribusiness seeking a skilled Seasonal Operations Specialist/Truck Driver to join our team in Devils Lake, ND for the Fall Harvest season. We require a candidate who can commit to our busy harvest period and possess relevant experience in operations and/or trucking operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under general supervision, perform general labor duties efficiently, including preparing trucks and railcars for loading/unloading, loading/unloading agricultural inputs, conducting and recording repairs and maintenance tasks, and monitoring inventory quality.
  • Deliver products such as fertilizer, chemical, seed, feed, and other to customer sites in a safe, timely, and professional manner, ensuring accurate and on-time deliveries.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws, including pre-trip and post-trip reporting, proper load securement, and hours of service.
  • Keep all work areas and vehicles clean, orderly, and safe, conducting regular housekeeping duties and maintaining accurate record-keeping.
  • Perform grounds maintenance, including snow removal, and warehouse work, including driving a loader, loading/unloading inventory, forklift operation, and general maintenance.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience in Operations and/or Trucking Operations
  • Must meet minimum age requirement
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Maintain or be able to obtain a CDL and DOT medical card
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Ability to work additional hours and occasional weekends to meet business demands
  • Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred
  • Valid Class A CDL preferred
  • Agriculture background preferred
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Bulk liquid, Pressure trailer, or Forklift experience preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds
  • Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs, and bins and into the back of a trailer
  • Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
