Job Summary

CHS Inc. is a leading global agribusiness seeking a skilled Operations Specialist/Truck Driver to join our team in Devils Lake, ND. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods, as well as performing various warehouse and maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate company vehicles and equipment, including trucks and railcars, to transport goods and materials.
  • Perform warehouse duties, including loading and unloading cargo, conducting inventory checks, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and vehicles, as well as perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections.
  • Monitor and maintain the quality of inventory, including blended, bulk, or packaged products.
  • Deliver products to customer sites in a safe, timely, and professional manner, ensuring accurate and on-time deliveries.
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal laws, including pre-trip and post-trip reporting, proper load securement, and hours of service.
  • Keep all work areas and vehicles in a clean, orderly, and safe condition, conducting regular housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Perform grounds maintenance, including snow removal, and assist with warehouse work, including driving a loader, loading/unloading inventory, and operating a forklift.
  • Promptly report any customer complaints, repair or maintenance needs, or safety concerns to supervisor.
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture, following all safety policies, procedures, and regulations, and identifying and communicating workplace hazards.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience in operations and/or trucking operations.
  • Must meet minimum age requirement.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Maintain or be able to obtain a CDL and DOT medical card.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to work additional hours and occasional weekends to meet business demands.
  • Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred.
  • Valid Class A CDL preferred.
  • Agriculture background preferred.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Bulk liquid, Pressure trailer, or Forklift experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds.
  • Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs, and bins and into the back of a trailer.
  • Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures.
