Job Summary

As a Clinical Education Specialist at BrightSpring Health Services, you will play a critical role in providing training and education to clinical leadership and staff. Your expertise will be essential in identifying education needs, developing clinical education programs, and collaborating with the Clinical Education team to ensure education standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop on-boarding classes and simulation lab scenarios for new hires based on identified business and clinical needs.
  • Provide educational leadership to enhance specialized patient care within established, evidence-based clinical protocols and ensure clinician qualification and competency to provide care.
  • Assist with educational needs, problem resolution, and health management across the continuum of care.
  • Collaborate with medical providers, patient care staff, and Home health management in the planning, implementation, and delivery of educational curricula.
  • Assist with clinical skills development programs within the parameters of established clinical and preceptorship models; monitor trends and implement educational strategies to ensure compliance with quality standards and parameters.
  • Educate staff on specialized patient care within nursing protocols.
  • Develop patient care plans, incorporating evidenced-based research and national standards; consult with and serve as a clinical resource for unit management to ensure quality patient care.
  • Educate technical and patient care staff in the use of new equipment, supplies, and instruments; coordinate in-service training and workshops for appropriate staff.
  • Ensure proper protocols in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
  • Along with other educators/facilitators, provide classroom, virtual, and self-study as well as simulation labs for new hires and for staff clinicians as indicated.
  • Evaluate the efficacy of formal classes and simulation classes to ensure they meet goals and drive results.
  • Determine with preceptors, HH Leaders, and branch leadership additional training needs of new hires and existing staff.
  • Collaborate with branch leadership in assessing, implementing, and evaluating clinician, new hire, and preceptor progress toward goals.
  • Facilitate quarterly preceptor forums for continued preceptor feedback, to provide mentoring and preceptor education.
  • Identify concerns with new hires and staff clinicians; communicate these to Home Health Leadership, Lead preceptor, and branch leadership.
  • Act as a positive role model or preceptor for team members new to home care and/or new BrightSpring HealthCare.
  • Assist with appropriate compliance with regulatory agency requirements, both state and federal.
  • Participate in clinical process improvement teams and benchmarking activities as assigned.
  • Participate in the development of program changes, including recommendations for obtaining more efficient outcomes; ensure follow through on practice changes relevant to the role under the direction of the Clinical Support team.
  • Participate in select data collection as requested to track and trend program success, intervene to affect a change in program content/delivery.
  • Demonstrate ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient care.
  • Function within the Scope of Practice and the Practice Act.


Requirements

  • Associates degree in Healthcare Related field from an accredited or approved school, Bachelors preferred.
  • 5 years of work-related experience in home health or similar setting.
  • Must have a valid and unrestricted driver's license.

Salary Range

USD $60,000.00 - $63,000.00 / Year
