Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at STGi. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Job Summary:The Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse will provide a wide range of clinical and administrative nursing care to patients in our Community Based Outpatient Clinic. This includes assessing patient conditions, administering medications, and providing education to patients and their families.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, including assessing patient conditions, administering medications, and providing education to patients and their families.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care and support.
- Participate in staff meetings and huddles to discuss patient care and clinic operations.
- Document patient information in medical records and VISTA to ensure continuity of care.
- Assist in maintaining the VISTA clinic reminder tracking system and completing required reports.
- Provide health education and resources to patients and their families.
- Participate in the Performance Improvement Program to ensure high-quality patient care and clinic operations.
- Minimum of two (2) years of current clinical experience working in a similar environment.
- Knowledge of basic methods and procedures for coordinating and scheduling clinical care.
- Thorough knowledge of the variations in anatomy.
- Knowledge and ability to apply the practical nursing principles, procedures, and techniques.
- Ability to assess patient condition, recognize adverse signs and symptoms, and react swiftly in emergency situations.
- Ability to follow orders and work under close supervision, while demonstrating initiative and independence.
- Outpatient clinical and/or other hospital experience preferred (Medical-Surgical, Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Room, or other hospital experience preferred).
- Knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment, including desired effects, side effects, complications, and patient usage considerations.
- Knowledge of the basic concepts of customer service technique related to age-specific population.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills along with proper telephone etiquette.
