Job Title: Credentialing Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to join our team at Long Island Ambulatory Surgery Center. As a Credentialing Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that our medical providers are properly credentialed and privileged to practice at our facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify and process provider enrollment applications for all state Medicaid insurance plans.
  • Ensure timely renewal of licenses and certifications for all providers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date data for each provider in credentialing databases and online systems.
  • Research and resolve any issues related to provider enrollment or participation.
  • Audit commercial and Medicaid plan directories for current and accurate provider information.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in credentialing or a related field.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • CAQH and AVAILITY experience.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
