Job Title: Credentialing Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to join our team at Long Island Ambulatory Surgery Center. As a Credentialing Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that our healthcare providers are properly credentialed and privileged to practice at our facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the credentialing process for healthcare providers, including initial applications, re-credentialing, and privileging.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as accreditation standards.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers, facilities, and payers to obtain necessary documentation and information.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of provider credentials and privileges.
  • Provide excellent customer service to healthcare providers and internal stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in credentialing or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations, as well as accreditation standards.
