The Director of Nursing will play a critical role in leading the healthcare team at Wexford Health, a leading provider of correctional healthcare services. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a seasoned nursing professional to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the healthcare team in providing high-quality patient care and services
- Develop and implement healthcare policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with site management and regional leadership to achieve healthcare goals and objectives
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent patient care
- Monitor and analyze healthcare data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
- Current, unrestricted Illinois Registered Nurse license
- Current CPR Certification
- Graduate of nursing school required; BSN preferred
- 3 years of experience in a supervisory/leadership nursing role preferred; 2 years of administrative and/or correctional nursing experience can be substituted for BSN
