About the Position

We are seeking a Visiting Assistant Professor to join our Department of Engineering at James Madison University. The successful candidate will support our mission by teaching undergraduate engineering courses in the areas of introduction to engineering, statics, mechanics, circuits, and/or engineering management.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate engineering courses
  • Support the department's mission and goals
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum and programs
  • Engage in scholarship, professional development, and service to the department, college, and university
Qualifications

Successful candidates will have a doctorate or expect completion of their doctorate in engineering or a closely related field by the anticipated start date. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate potential to emerge as agile and adaptive educators.

Conditions of Employment
