Critical Care Nurse Internship Program RN

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care Nurse Internship Program at AdventHealth Winter Park. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in critical care nursing, working alongside our experienced and dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
About the ProgramOur Critical Care Nurse Internship Program is a 6-8 week program designed for experienced RNs who are interested in transitioning into an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) from another specialty. The program incorporates comprehensive body systems modules, including anatomy and physiology, various body systems conditions, diagnostics, nursing care, and treatment. You will have the opportunity to learn from our experienced preceptors and participate in clinical experiences that will help you develop your critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities- Provide and supervise direct and indirect total nursing care responsibilities to identified age-specific groups.
- Utilize the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating) in achieving the goals of the nursing department.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team rounds to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care for patients.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Current valid State of Florida or multistate license as a Registered Nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- EKG competency testing.
- Minimum of six (6) months of nursing experience.
