Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital. As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for managing the individualized patient care by promoting and restoring patients' health through the nursing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning implementation, evaluation, and patient health education within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care.
  • Coordinate care in collaboration with members of the patient's treatment team.
  • Review physical exams and health histories, physicians' orders, prior relevant images, and laboratory findings.
  • Conduct nursing assessments and routine observation for patients within established time frames.
  • Administer medications, including but not limited to moderate/conscious sedation, injections, intravenous infusions, and other treatment interventions while operating standard critical care equipment safely and correctly.
  • Document patient assessment findings, care rendered, procedures performed, and other various aspects of patient plan of care making periodic updates related to the patient's condition and response to treatment.
  • Provide patient and family health education based on assessed needs for indicated procedures performed, medications administered, overall wellness, and directions for follow-up care.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Entry-level training may be an Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
  • Florida State Board of Nursing License or Compact State License.
  • American Heart Association BLS Health Care Provider.
  • American Heart Association ACLS Health Care Provider.
  • 1-3 years Critical care or ED experience.
  • Neuro/Interventional Radiology experience.
