Job Summary:

The Anthony & Sylvan Pools is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to oversee the development and implementation of the residential new pool business objectives, policies, and strategic plans. The successful candidate will provide leadership to ensure positive and profitable relationships with all external parties, including customers, vendors, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement procedures to ensure timely and financially sound operations consistent with the company's goals and quality standards.
  2. Manage day-to-day fiscal management to ensure compliance with budgeted revenue and operating income goals.
  3. Direct the development and preparation of the division's annual business plan and budgeting process.
  4. Review and contribute to decisions on advertising, marketing, pricing, and sales and marketing initiatives.
  5. Direct market penetration and sales growth of the division, including new business development activities.
  6. Provide management oversight to the construction department staff regarding tactical operating needs.
  7. Pursue and implement continuous process improvement throughout all areas of the business.
  8. Ensure all employees maintain a consistent focus on high-quality customer service.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience required.
  • Minimum of 8 years progressively responsible business experience, including full P&L responsibility and overall management of an operating business unit.
  • Strong understanding of B to C sales/marketing concepts and techniques required.
  • Experience in localized business development and managing a sales team is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA a plus.
  • Demonstrated knowledge/capabilities in the areas of financial analysis, human resource, and business administration, legal and ethical practices, marketing, business development, and sales.
