Senior Leaves Program Manager

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a Senior Leaves Program Manager, you'll play a critical role in shaping the future of space travel by leading our leave and accommodation programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive leave and accommodation programs that meet the needs of our employees and organization, while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on leaves and accommodations, collaborating with Legal and HR leadership to ensure accurate policy and administration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and effectiveness of leave programs across all Blue Origin locations.
  • Manage the Workday Absence system, identifying areas for enhancement and improvement.
  • Develop and maintain leave and accommodation resources, training materials, and communications for employees and managers.
  • Serve as the point of escalation for leave and accommodation matters, resolving issues with urgency and professionalism.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators for leave and accommodation programs, using data and trends to inform program improvements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 10+ years of experience administering leave and accommodation programs.
  • Expert knowledge of leave laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADAAA, EEOC, HIPAA, ERISA, DOL, Section 125, USERRA, and federal, state, and local leave laws.
  • Experience leading time off and leaves in Workday or equivalent HR system and processes, with a strong understanding of downstream impacts on benefits, pay, and other areas.
  • Strong research, analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
