Land Mobile Radio Technician

Job Summary:
J & K Communications, Inc. is seeking a skilled Land Mobile Radio Installer to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for installing and removing land mobile radio equipment, mounting and connecting antennas, power supplies, and other radio components. You will also troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation and post-installation, conduct testing and verification to ensure system functionality and performance, and possess a basic working knowledge of hand tools and power tool operation.
Responsibilities:
• Installation and removal of new/existing land mobile radio equipment
• Mount and connect antennas, power supplies, and other radio components
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation and post-installation
• Conduct testing and verification to ensure system functionality and performance
• Basic working knowledge of hand tools and power tool operation
• Basic working knowledge of Direct and Alternating electrical current
• Individuals should be an ambitious self-starter, punctual, and customer service oriented
• Have excellent documentation and strong team building skills
• Ability to communicate professionally with co-workers and customers daily
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and ability to prioritize and multitask
• Must be very safety oriented and possess a valid driver's license
• Must be able to lift heavy objects
• Monday-Friday schedule with occasional weekend/overnight work
• Opportunity for advancement and on-the-job Technician training
Requirements:
• 3-5 years' experience in the industry or similar industry is preferred
• Basic working knowledge of hand tools and power tool operation
• Ability to pass a background check and pre-hire drug screen/physical is a must
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Ability to travel (overnights) when needed
• Ability to communicate professionally with co-workers and clients daily
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to prioritize and multitask
