Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geotechnical Project Manager to join our team at Synerfac. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating geotechnical projects from planning to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate geotechnical projects, including site investigations, surface and subsurface condition evaluations, and engineering program planning and implementation.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets, and provide regular status reports to stakeholders.
  • Manage and coordinate project personnel, including technical studies, product design, and testing.
  • Review and approve project deliverables, including design documents, bid packages, and proposals.
  • Interface with clients to provide project status reports and ensure client needs are met.
  • Plan and coordinate research activities, including establishing daily or weekly routines necessary to meet project timetables.
  • Provide expertise in the field of geotechnical research and training to research assistants and graduate students.
  • Perform and report interim analysis of accumulated data to monitor for safety purposes.
  • Develop research plans, design experiments, and outline research procedures to be followed.
  • Establish major design parameters for projects in conjunction with project design teams and clients.
  • Reinforce business relationships with existing clients and develop new relationships with future clients.
  • Prepare proposal estimates of time and expenses required to complete projects.
  • Involved in the sales and marketing of company services and securing new business.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field, with a minimum of 10-12 years of experience and 8 years of project management related experience.
  • Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) license preferred.
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
  • FE/EIT Certification preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License and possess reliable transportation to access job sites.
  • Able to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Proficient or familiarity with computer design software (Quake, WEAP, L-Pile, Finite Element Analysis, etc.).
  • AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, NitroPro, GSLOPE, KeyWall, Rocscience, MS Word, Excel, Adobe.
