Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Obstetrician and Gynecologist to join our Women's Health team at Allina Health's brand-new Specialty Clinic in Lakeville. As a Women's Health Specialist, you will provide comprehensive care to women, including integrated services such as Integrative Medicine, Mental Health, OB/GYN, and Uro/Gynecology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care for obstetrics and gynecology patients, including general medicine, reproductive system, pregnancy, and childbirth.
  • Offer education, consultation, or intervention to patients and their families, developing treatment plans that meet their unique needs.
  • Collaborate with patients to improve their health and well-being, practicing culturally sensitive and patient-centered care.
  • Participate in a multidisciplinary team approach to case management, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Take advantage of our on-site Medical Imaging, coding program, and other resources to stay up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge and best practices.

Practice Details:

  • Our Women's Health Service line has eight labor and delivery locations, with 13,800 deliveries per year, 30 clinics, 53 OBGYNs, 21 OB hospitalists, 13 Clinical Nurse Midwives, 11 Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists, and 2 fetal interventionalists.
  • We offer nursing support programs for prescription refills, triage, and pap results, as well as an after-hours answering service.
  • Our quaternary hospital, Abbott Northwestern, features a Level IV NICU, while our tertiary hospitals, Mercy and United, have Level III NICUs, and six regional hospitals provide additional care options.
  • You will have opportunities for mentorship and learning from a group of 80+ providers across our health system.
  • We collaborate with Integrative Medicine, Perinatal Mental Health Consultants, and Uro/Gyn APPs to provide comprehensive care.
  • Call will be approximately 4-5 shifts per month.

Requirements:

  • MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required.
  • OBGYN BE/BC with ABMS or AOA required.
  • Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain).
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
  • Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges, if applicable.
  • BLS Tier 3 - Multisource required within 6 months of hire.
